At Vigne d'Or Wine Estate in Stellenbosch, the designers and structural engineer required a lightweight, fast-erecting building material that would not impact the existing foundations of the wine estate's heritage structures. Aertec AAC met all structural and aesthetic requirements while enabling a fast construction schedule.
The wine estate environment demanded a material that would deliver a premium quality finish consistent with the estate's aesthetic, while its lightweight properties (approximately one quarter the weight of clay brick) were essential to protect the existing foundations from additional loading.
The project is one of several prestigious wine estate applications for Aertec AAC in the Stellenbosch area, where the combination of lightweight construction, thermal performance, and quality finish has made it a preferred specification for wine estate developments.
