The Nota Bene Private Student Residence in Johannesburg was developed by a well-known developer with extensive AAC experience. Having used Aertec AAC across multiple previous developments, Aertec was once again the sole specified walling material for this purpose-built student accommodation project.
Student accommodation presents specific walling challenges: acoustic separation between rooms must be high, construction time is critical to meet academic calendar deadlines, and fire performance is a regulatory requirement. Aertec AAC met all these requirements while enabling the developer to maintain their proven construction methodology across their portfolio.
The project reinforces the trend of experienced developers committing to AAC as their standard specification — once the material's advantages are proven on one project, it becomes the default for all subsequent builds.
