Ninety One on Hans Strijdom Street in the Cape Town CBD is a high-rise commercial renovation project. AAC partitioning was specified to deliver a fast, lightweight refurbishment solution with minimal structural disruption to the existing building fabric.
The refurbishment required a walling system that could be installed quickly in a live building environment, with minimal the build and no additional structural load on the existing floor slabs. Aertec AAC met all these requirements, with thin-bed jointing and single-coat CEM-SKIM plaster ensuring a fast and clean finish.
The project demonstrates the growing preference for AAC in commercial refurbishment work in the Cape Town CBD, where schedule speed and structural load management are primary specification drivers.
