The Ninety One Deloitte Relocation project is situated in one of Africa's greenest buildings at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town — a building awarded a 5-star green rating for its environmental performance. Aertec AAC was specified to ensure the office relocation work maintained the building's green credentials, as AAC's significantly lower embodied carbon compared to conventional masonry contributes directly to the building's green rating.
The office relocation required new partitioning to be installed quickly with minimal disruption to the building's other tenants. Aertec AAC's fast installation system and low-dust process were ideal for this requirement, with the thin-bed mortar system avoiding the heavy the build associated with conventional masonry.
The project demonstrates the alignment between green building certification requirements and Aertec AAC's environmental performance credentials, including its Ecostandard South Africa certification.
