Retail fit-outs in active shopping centres present specific constraints: work must be performed outside trading hours or in controlled conditions, with the walling system completed quickly to meet the tenant's planned opening date. Aertec AAC's thin-bed installation and single-coat plaster system significantly reduced the time required compared to conventional masonry.
The project is one of several major retail fit-outs completed with Aertec AAC in South African shopping centres, where the material's speed and clean installation process have established it as a preferred specification for retail construction.
