A unique high-end micro apartment in Sea Point, Cape Town, required an extension enclosing the existing balcony space to increase the habitable floor area. Aertec AAC was specified for its minimal weight impact on the existing structure — critical for a balcony enclosure where the existing slab has limited structural capacity — and for the speed and cleanliness of the installation in an occupied apartment building.
The balcony enclosure required walls that could be erected quickly, with minimal vibration and dust generation to avoid disturbing the building's other residents. Aertec AAC's thin-bed installation and hand-cut capability made it ideal for this constrained, occupied building application.
