The Fairview Sports Centre in Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) is a new sports facility where Aertec AAC was selected as the primary walling material based on its structural performance, thermal insulation properties, and the rapid construction it enables to meet the demanding project schedule.
Sports facilities require walling solutions that can span large open areas, withstand impact loads from sports activities, and provide good thermal comfort for both participants and spectators. Aertec AAC meets these requirements while its lightweight nature reduces the structural loads on the facility's foundations and structural frame.
The Gqeberha project extends Aertec's geographic reach to the Eastern Cape, demonstrating the material's viability for sports and community facility applications across South Africa.
