The Black Brick Gardens residential apartment development is situated in Gardens, Cape Town CBD — a commercial building converted to residential use. Aertec AAC was specified for the partition walls throughout the development, selected for the speed of installation and acoustic performance that are essential in apartment conversion projects.
Converting commercial buildings to residential use requires partition walls that can be installed quickly in existing floor plate configurations, deliver high acoustic separation between units, and take a quality finish for residential decoration standards. Aertec AAC met all these requirements with its thin-bed installation system and single-coat plaster.
The project represents an earlier phase of the Black Brick Gardens development, with the 2024 entry representing a subsequent phase of the same project.
