A new residential apartment building is taking shape in Cape Town's vibrant Gardens neighbourhood. Aertec AAC was specified for the full masonry package — precision EG2/400 blocks, thin-bed mortar, and CEM-SKIM single-coat plaster — delivering a complete, compliant walling system from a single supplier.
The development required a walling material that could deliver high acoustic separation between units, excellent thermal performance for the Cape Town climate, and a quality finish ready for paint. Aertec AAC met all these requirements while enabling faster construction than conventional masonry.
